Feedback from School Staff

“Hope House has been working with our BHS students on the topic of healthy relationships for many years.  We are very fortunate to have this local resource come into our Health classrooms and do fun and interactive lessons that students really enjoy.  The feedback that we get from students is always positive and that the information and skills learned is useful to them.”
– Baraboo High School Health Teacher

“Hope House has partnered with our school to provide meaningful, age-appropriate prevention programming for middle school students focused on promoting healthy relationships, addressing harmful social behaviors, and preventing teen dating violence. Their services have proven to be a valuable and impactful component of our school’s social-emotional learning and wellness initiatives...Hope House has delivered high-quality prevention education and support services to our students for more than a decade. Their staff is knowledgeable, compassionate, and well-prepared to address sensitive topics with professionalism and care. We are grateful for their continued partnership and strongly endorse their programming for schools.”
- River Valley Middle School Counselor, Spring Green

“It was great having you come and talk about what Hope House has to offer. These are not only great conversations to have with Baraboo's youth but also great services or resources from Hope House provided if someone in the future or currently would need these types of support. I think it is great to have a guest speaker from a community resource like Hope House to come in to talk to students about healthy and unhealthy relationships. Thank you!”
- Jack Young Middle School Health Teacher, Baraboo

“Hope House has been coming to the Randolph School District for several years now talking to both high school and middle school students on various topics.  They do a tremendous job of relating to the students and provide them with great information.  They always have a hands-on activity that the class participates in to make them more engaged in the specific topic.  Hope House has been a tremendous resource for the middle and high school health classes at Randolph.”
- Randolph Middle School Health Teacher

“We appreciate your collaboration and expertise more than you know. You all do a great job with the lessons. Thank you for teaming with us to support our students and families.”
- Elementary School Counselor for the Baraboo School District

“I thought the presentation was very informative and beneficial to our 7th grade as they are starting to explore relationships.  I am very grateful for your time and energy to come to my classes to present and really wished you could do it more often.  Having an outsider come in and talk about real events that are mostly are occurring in their life is so meaningful even if the students don't seem like they are very interested, but we are putting tools in their toolboxes to use when they get into a situation.  Hopefully, next year you will still be willing to come in to present topics to our students.  Thank you for all that you do.”
- Westfield Jr. High School Teacher

“We love having Hope House come and present to our students.  The lessons are always age-appropriate and engaging.  The presenters are skilled in dealing with difficult topics in a kind and empathetic way.  It is nice for the students to interact with Hope House representatives, be able to ask questions, and learn about this important community resource while learning about ways to prevent violence in relationships.”
- Poynette Middle School Counselor

“I just wanted to say thank you so much for coming in to speak to the Women's History classes! These are conversations that need to be had in our school and I am so grateful for you coming in to help educate the students! I appreciate you so much!! I look forward to having you come in again next year!”
- Reedsburg High School Women's History Teacher
