Children's Advocate (Click here for full job description)
The Children's Advocate provides direct client services to children and families in shelter, as well as non-resident child victims of sexual, domestic and/or dating violence. This professional responds to the health and safety of youth victims by providing supportive counseling and advocacy to improve coping skills. They also provide support groups to assist youth victims in understanding the dynamics of abuse and in stabilizing their lives.

Full Time Overnight Shelter Advocate (Click here for full job description)
The Hotline/Shelter Advocate’s primary responsibility is to answer the 24/7 hotline and to provide support to victims residing in emergency shelter. Salary range is $17-$18 per hour with excellent benefits and paid time off for employees working more than 30 hours per week.

2nd & 3rd Shift Part-Time Shelter Staff

  • Create an atmosphere of support and nurturing for individuals and families in a residential setting;
  • Facilitate a clean, calming, and welcoming communal living environment;
  • Work as part of a dedicated, supportive, and encouraging team;
  • Provide support and safety planning via the 24-hour helpline as needed.

Hope House of South Central Wisconsin is recruiting qualified candidates for multiple part-time 2nd and 3rd Shift Shelter Staff positions. High school diploma or equivalent is required and two years of work experience related to the position is preferred. (Comprehensive training is provided.) Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality is essential. Experience in a residential facility is strongly preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred. Dependability is a must.

Part-time shelter positions are based in Baraboo. Starting range is $17 - $18 per hour or commensurate with education and experience.

This position is part-time (8-24 hours per week). 2nd shift is typically scheduled 4:00 pm – midnight. 3rd shift is typically scheduled midnight-8am. Some weekends and holidays are required.
