Bingo Night, Oct 8 in Mauston

Join us on Thursday, October 8th at 6pm at the Gravity Box in Mauston for bingo! 10 rounds and $10 per stack. All proceeds benefit Hope House. We'll see you then!

Stewards of Children, Oct 9 in Mauston

On Friday, October 9th, 2026, from 9am-noon at Hatch Public Library (in the Community Meeting Room) in Mauston, Jess Kaehny, Community Education Program Manager at Hope House, is facilitating Darkness to Light's Stewards of Children child sexual abuse prevention training free of charge.

In this evidence-informed, award-winning training, adults learn how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. Participants will watch videos of adults with lived experience and of professionals in the field, answer questions in the provided workbook, and engage in group discussion on actions steps participants can take to better protect kids and teens from sexual abuse.

Adams County Color Run 5k- Saturday, Oct. 17

It's the second year of the 5K Color Run in Adams County and we hope you'll join for a fun run and family friendly activities on Saturday, October 17 starting at 9am. The event will take place at the Adams Friendship Middle School and in addition to the 5k there will be a food truck, DJ, face painting and Raffle. An event t-shirt is included with registration! All proceeds will go directly to Hope House.
The color run is supported in partnership with Adams PD, Healthfirst, Guardians of the Children- Castle Rock, Ho-Chunk, Adams Co. Sheriff Office, Route, and Adams DHS.

9am- registration opens
10am- the run begins
12pm- raffle drawing

Purple Thursday Donation Drive, Oct 22

Purple Thursday is a national event which takes place annually during Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). The goal is to support domestic violence shelters by donating all the necessities needed to restock their shelves.

This year we are holding Purple Thursday on October 22, from 7am - 3pm at Hope House (720 Ash Street, Baraboo).

Join us first thing in the morning and you can say hi to Dave Grant from MAX FM, who will be broadcasting live. Or, stop by to drop off a donation over your lunch hour (between 11-1) and enjoy a free meal courtesy of the Baraboo Elks Lodge, who will be grilling up delicious burgers! We hope to see you on the 22nd AND have fully stocked shelves by the 23rd!
