Building Hope
Thank you to all who have donated towards our new building! You have helped make it possible for not only our staff, but now also our residents to be moved in and utilizing our new shelter and office space! Although we are moved in, Hope House is in need of funds to help cover the $653,500 building purchase and renovation cost. We need approximately $22,000 by the end of 2011 in order to complete Phase 1 of the Capital Campaign. If this money is not raised by the end of the year, we will need to take out another loan. Phase 2 of our Capital Campaign will take place during 2012 and 2013; it includes raising approximately $118,500 to pay back the short-term construction loan. In 2014 and beyond, Hope House will begin Phase 3 and will continue to raise funds to cover the long-term mortgage for the building purchase of $225,000. By integrating our office and shelter under one roof, Hope House will reduce overhead costs, maximize staffing and programming resources, and create a more visible community presence that will increase awareness of and support for our mission. The building is ideally located for our purposes. It is structurally sound but was in need of extensive upgrades and repairs to provide a safe and secure environment. The total cost for purchase and renovation was nearly $653,500. Although we now have our staff and residents moved into our new space, we are still in need of funds to cover the cost of the purchase and renovation of the building. We invite everyone - individuals, families, churches, businesses, youth groups, service groups and clubs - to join us in this opportunity to "Build Hope."
